The human aura is the energy field that surrounds the physical body. It surrounds you in all directions and is three dimensional. In a healthy individual, it makes an elliptical or egg shape about the body. In an average individual it will extend eight to ten feet around the body.
The healthier you are, physically and spiritually, the more vibrant your energy field will be and the further your aura will extend out from your physical body. Weakened auras can result in and reflect health problems, emotional and mental stress.
Everyone has his or her own unique energy system, and the way it interacts and works with the more subtle surrounding influences will vary from individual to individual. For your overall well-being, physical and otherwise, you need to become aware of these subtle energies as well as the more tangible energies of your body.
An old axiom states-” All energy follows thought.”
The more aware you become, the more you can recognize and control what energies you project and allow to affect you. We have all had experiences of walking into a room and ‘feeling’ its distinctness. Even with people-we instantly hit off with some and sometimes instantly and inexplicably dislike some. This is our sensitivity to the energy residues and projections of a place as well as frequency and vibrations of a person or people.
Characteristics of the Aura:
Known over centuries by many names- Ch’i or qi in China, Prana in India and Tibet, Ruach in Hebrew, Ki in Japan, Baraka by Sufis, Hoaka by Hawaiian shamans, auric energy bioplasmic fields have been documented for over 5000 years.
Colour can reflect positive or negative energy, and when perceived within the aura, it provides a key to the personality, moods, maturity and health of the individual. Aura colour reflects both physical and spiritual aspects.
